As our Toyota fans may be aware, we will be bidding farewell to the iconic Toyota FJ Cruiser at the conclusion of the 2014 model year. However, Toyota isn't letting it fade out without a memorable tribute which was unveiled at this year's SEMA Show.
As a tribute to the Land Cruiser FJ40 from the 1960's, Toyota introduced the 2014 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition. This special edition offers a Toyota Racing Development off-road suspension which has TRD race shocks with enhanced damping, articulation and high-speed stability.
Here are additional features found in the Land Cruiser FJ40:
- a TRD front skid plate
- white front grill surround and Monotone "Heritage Blue" paint
- Exterior FJ Trail Teams Badge
- Roof rack
- Rock rails
- TRD 16-inch Gunmetal bead lock wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires
- Blacked-out bumpers, door handles and exterior windows
Of course, the good stuff isn't only limited to the exterior and performance features. The vehicle also carries several interior perks:
- Power outside mirrors with illuminated markers
- Stainless steel FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition dash plaque
- Privacy glass found on rear side, quarter and rear door windows
- Floating-ball Multi-information Display with Compass inclinometer, and outside temperature
- Remote Keyless entry system, and more
If you want to get your hands on the wheel of one of these bad boys, you'll have to be quick and aggressive in your approach since only 2,500 units will be produced.
If not the special edition, we encourage you to check out the original FJ Cruiser before we see it leave showrooms.
